HPE ProLiant DL20 Gen10 Server

Description

Designed for compact office spaces and small to medium-sized businesses, the HPE ProLiant DL20 Gen10 Server is a powerful and versatile system housed in a 1U chassis. It is a single-socket system compatible with Intel Xeon E-2100/2200 series processors as well as Intel Core i3 and Intel Pentium CPUs. This system supports a maximum of 64GB of memory on 4x DIMM slots. The front of the system holds 2x large form factor drive bays compatible with either hot-pluggable or not-hot pluggable drives. Another option is a 4x hot-pluggable small form factor drive bay configuration. On the rear of the system, there are dual PCIe 3.0 slots for expansion purposes. Either a 290W entry-level power supply, a 500W Flex Slot redundant power supply or a 800W 48VDC Flex Slot redundant power supply powers this system.

Performance

There are options for CPUS with either a single Intel Xeon E-2100/2200 series, Intel Core i3, or Intel Pentium processor. The available core counts on the DL20 Gen10 server are 8x, 6x, 4x, or 2x. Some of the supported CPUs can provide up to 16MB L3 processor cache. CPU power consumptions ranges between 54W to 95W.

Storage

Storage solutions on the HPE DL20 Gen10 Server include 2x large form factor (LFF) drive bays, either hot-plug or non-hot-plug accessible from the front of the chassis. Another variation on this system includes up to 6x small form factor (SFF) drive bays with 4x active bays and 2x optional. There is a dedicated M.2 slot on the system board for fast access storage or OS installation.

Memory

A total of 4x DIMM slots on the system board are compatible with DDR4 memory modules. With 2x channels per processor and 4x DIMM slots each memory channel can be outfitted with 2x DIMMs. Depending on the chosen processor, the two memory speed options are 2400MHz or 2666MHz. A maximum memory configuration supports up to 64GB using 3 x 16GB 2666MHz unbuffered DIMM modules (UDMMs).

Expansion

Dual PCIe 3.0 slots on the system board are accessible from the rear of the chassis. The first slot is low-profile with a connector width of x8. The second slot is full-height, full-length with a connector width of x16.

Management

System management is primarily achieved through the HPE Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) 5.0 module. iLO 5.0 grants access to service alerting, remote management, and issue reporting. Administrators can install a dedicated management port kit for faster and more secure data transmission on the HPE DL20 Server.
