The HPE DL325 Gen12 server places 12x DIMM slots on each side of the CPU for a total of 24x DDR5 memory module slots. At full capacity, it can be outfitted with up to 6TB of memory operating at speeds of up to 5200MT/s with one DIMM per channel (1DPC). With 2x DIMMs per channel (2DPC), memory speed is reduced to 4400MT/s. The front of the server accommodates an optional DVD-ROM via Universal Media Bay External support, and several storage options. The system supports up to 4x 3.5” SAS/SATA, 10x 2.5” SAS/SATA/NVMe, or 20x EDSFF NVMe drive bays, depending on the model. It also provides HPE’s multi-purpose drive bays, allowing administrators to mix and match different storage devices. HPE’s NS204i-u V2 hot-pluggable boot-optimized storage device can be mounted at the front or the rear and provides a redundant host for the OS with dual M.2 drives installed. 2x OCP 3.0 PCIe Gen5 slots provide additional options for expansion.
Under the hood, the ProLiant DL325 Gen12 server supports 2x rear risers for a total of 6x PCIe Gen5 slots. All default PCIe slots features a x16 Bus width and connector width, however there is an option to install a x8 or x16 slot width for OCP option B. For remote management of the system, HPE’s Integrated Lights-Out 7 (iLO 7) software offers a redesigned GUI, Redfish API, and increased security through patented secure enclave technology. There is a choice of 3x cooling options such as air cooling, closed loop liquid cooling for high performance processors, and direct liquid cooling for performance and energy efficiency to support sustainability initiatives. The rear of the platform holds up to 2x HPE Modular Common Redundant (M-CRPS) power supplies, but wattage depends on the model.
