Up to 64x DDR5 memory module slots can be deployed when all slots are filled with 256GB DIMMs. The HPE DL580 Gen12 server holds up to 32x SFF or EDSFF NVMe drives on the front of the chassis, along with a number of optional drive configurations in between, and combinations using both EDSFF and SFF for factors. An optional DVD-ROM through a Universal Media Bay is also available. An optional front accessible HPE’s NS204i-u V2 hot-pluggable boot-optimized storage device can be mounted at the front or the rear to support the OS.

Up to 12x PCIe Gen5 slots and 2x OCP 3.0 mezzanine card slots are accessible through the rear of the platform. This machine can be powered by 1500W, 2400W, or 3200W dual hot-plug redundant 1+1, 2+2, or 3+1 HPE Flexible Slot power supplies. To remotely monitor this system, HPE’s Integrated Lights-Out 7 (iLO 7) management software offers a redesigned GUI, Redfish API, and increased security through patented secure enclave technology initiatives.
