The HPE MicroServer Gen11 supports a single Intel Xeon E-2400 or Pentium Gold processor with 2 to 4 cores. The CPUs offer 2x memory channels per processor, with 2x DIMM slots per channel, for a total of 4x memory module slots allowing for up to 128GB of DDR5 UDIMM memory. Memory will run at 4400MT/s, even when fully populated with 32GB modules in each memory module slot. Although, memory speed is dependent on memory type, configuration and processor. Note that the system does not support non-ECC UDIMMs, RDIMMs, or LRDIMMs.
For storage, the server features options behind the front panel, including 4x 3.5” non-hot plug SATA HDDs or 4x 2.5” non-hot plug SSDs with a converter kit. The chassis is powered by a 180W non-redundant external power supply and offers a flexible design that can be positioned flat, vertically, or wall-mounted to suit various deployment scenarios.
The ProLiant MicroServer Gen11 also provides expansion capabilities with 1x PCIe Gen5 x16 low-profile slot and 1x PCIe Gen4 x8 low-profile slot. An optional M.2 slot is available for enhanced OS boot performance, while 4x embedded 1Gbe network controllers ensure networking connectivity. It also offers HPE’s iLO 6.0 application specific integrated circuit (ASIC), which only supports in-band management features. The system does not support remote or out-of-band management by default. To activate remote management of the system, requires the HPE ML30 iLO/NIC/M.2/COM port kit (P65741-B21).
