The Infortrend EonStor GS 1012 G3 can be outfitted with a single controller or dual controllers for redundancy. A system with a single controller can easily be upgraded for redundancy with the addition of another controller. For a single controller, the system supports a super capacitor with flash module to ensure data integrity in the event of a power failure. Powered by a single Intel Pentium 2 CPU, a single controller can support 8GB to 64GB of DDR4 memory, while dual controllers will deliver 16GB to 128GB of memory. Remote Direct Memory Access is supported on configurations with at least 24GB of memory, per controller. Part of the Infortrend GS 1000 G3 line of appliances, there are 3x basic systems offering 12x, 16x, or 24x SAS, NLSAS HDD, SATA SSD, SATA HDD, and U.2 NVMe SSDs for models that support U.2 SSDs for cache.
INFORTREND EONSTOR GS 1000 G3 MODELS
Infortrend EonStor GS 1012 G3Host servers are connected to the storage appliances via the host boards and onboard host ports supported in the controllers. Host boards supported in the controllers are variable, offering a number of options for ports and link width depending on your network configuration and business needs. Host boards include Fiber Channel, SFP, SFP+, GbE, and SAS options. Onboard host ports include 2x 12Gb/s SAS ports, which can be augmented via the addition of host boards. The system can support a maximum of 30 logical drives and a maximum logical drive capacity of up to 512TB. There are a number of RAID optional available for performance or data resiliency. Power is provided by dual redundant 460W 80 PLUS Bronze PSUs or for EU countries dual redundant 800W 80 PLUS Titanium.
Management of the system is via web-based EonOne software. Default software features address both block and file level storage needs and include scale-out, snapshots, and local and remote data replication. Optional features require an additional license and include automated storage tiering, advanced scale-out, advanced snapshot, and advanced local and remote replication.
