Infortrend EonStor GS 1024 Gen3 Storage

Designed for small to medium-sized businesses and outfitted with 24x drive bays, the Infortrend GS 1024 G3 can be augmented with 15x mixed expansion enclosures for up to 448 drives. Via scale-out with other Infortrend appliances, it can support up to 1792 drives per cluster, maximum. Expansion enclosures are attached to either 1x controller or 2x controllers for redundancy. Another one of the performance features on this system is GPUDirect, which bypasses the CPU and system memory to directly address the host system GPU for maximum efficiency and low latency.

The controllers feature an Intel Pentium processor with 2x cores. With a single controller the system can be outfitted with 8GB to 64GB of DDR4 memory. With dual controllers, from 16GB to 128GB or DDR4 memory. Standard on the 4U Infortrend GS 1024 G3 is a supercapacitor with flash model for cache backup technology in the event of a power failure. Each controller has 2x Host Board slots that can be outfitted with a number of Host Boards supporting different port connections and link throughput. Supported optional host boards include fiber channel, RJ45, SFP+, SFP28 for RDMA and SAS at 12Gb/s.

Offering a modular, redundant, and hot-swapable design, the GS 1000 G3 family of appliances offer easy support and expansion with high availability. Using Infortrend’s EonOne web-based software utility, it’s easy to manage clusters of servers, monitor performance, capacity usage, and configure systems. Depending on the system configuration, faults are automatically detected and addressed ensuring maximum up-time.
