With dual redundant controllers and NVMe storage, the EonStor GS 2024U storage appliance supports DDR4 cache memory ranging from 16GB up to 128GB. With hybrid storage support and automated storage tiering, hot data can be stored on high throughput, low-latency U.2 NVMe SSDs while cold data can be stored on less expensive and higher capacity HDD storage devices on expansion enclosures. Additionally, it provides high-availability (HA) services for continuous availability with a zero RPO (recovery point objective) and a near-zero RTO (recovery time objective). With its synchronous remote replication and auto-failover features, this solution prevents service outages caused by unforeseen or planned events and guarantees that complete and identical copies of the data are stored on both storage devices. Block-level HA services offer auto-failback, which enables a storage device to restart operations without switching manually.
On the back of the EonStor GS 2024U there are dual redundant 530W 80 PLUS Bronze power supplies, a mini-USB connector, 4x host boards for optional NICs, and an ethernet management port. Several operating systems are available including Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SUSE Linux Enterprise, Sun Solaris, MacOS X, and VMware. Using Infortrend’s EonOne, a web-based administration software tool, helps users boost storage and service efficiency for more productivity. Automation features help IT managers oversee a cluster or numerous appliances, track performance and capacity use, and finalize system configurations from a single, central user-friendly interface.
