The Infortrend GS 3012 Gen3 is a unified storage solution for various applications, and ideal for businesses of all sizes. A single controller or a dual redundant controller provide a number of options for network and host system connections. Single controller systems are easily updated with a second controller to provide redundancy. On the single controller configuration, the default cache memory capacity is 8GB, but can hold up to 192GB. Outfitted with dual controllers, the default memory capacity is 16GB but can support a maximum memory cache of up to 384GB across both controllers. Both options house 12x 3.5-inch SAS or SATA HDD or SSD drive bays. 2.5-inch drives are also compatible with this system. The drive interface supported is up to 6Gb/s SATA or 12Gb/s SAS.

Another one of the performance features on this system is GPUDirect, which bypasses the CPU and system memory to directly address the host system GPU for maximum efficiency and low latency. In addition to the SAS expansion ports and host ports on each controller, there are 2x host board expansion slots which can support Fiber Channel (FC), RJ-45 ports, and SAS options with different throughput speeds depending on your needs. Performance options include speeds up to 100GbE. Scale-up by daisy-chaining this platform together with other JBOD expansion enclosures can increase drive bay capacity up to 896 bays. Combined with a dedicated RJ45 Ethernet management port provides remote access to the storage enclosure. Management is achieved via Infortrend’s EonOne web-based software tool which provides monitoring options, multi-platform management ability, and system configuration. Dual redundant 530W 80 PLUS Bronze power supplies (PSUs) provide power to this system.
