Infortrend EonStor GS 3016 Gen3 Storage

At 3U, the Infortrend EonStor GS 3016 G3 Storage appliance has 16x 2.5-inch storage bays on the front. It supports SAS HDD storage and can deliver 12Gb/s write in throughput to support high-performance workloads. The system is available with single or dual controllers outfitted with Intel Xeon-D CPUs, with a wide range of optional connections. Another one of the performance features on this system is GPUDirect, which bypasses the CPU and system memory to directly address the host system GPU for maximum efficiency and low latency.

Scale-up and scale-out JBOD expansion chassis enable storage capacities of up to 70PB. Maximum drives supported via expansion enclosures is up to 896 drives. Supported drive types include SAS SSDs, NL-SAS, SATA for capacity, and U.2 NVMe SSDs for cache. Per cluster via scale-out with other series appliances it can support up to 3,584 drives. The Infortrend EonStor GS 3016 G3 Storage appliance supports a supercapacitor and flash module to hep store and recover active data in the event of a power loss. With a number of RAID options to choose from, ensures EonStor GS will protect your data in the event of a drive failure. Dual redundant controllers on the EonStor GS 3016R3 storage system also provide a measure of safety and high-availability. The EonStor GS 3016S3 storage system has only a single controller but can easily be updated with a second controller.

Infortrend provides the web-based EonOne management software to manage one-to-many storage appliances. In addition to helping manage the system, it can also help allocate resources and features a Storage Resource Management utility analyzes history records and resource usage. Auto-balancing of storage resources is supported and helps Administrators by removing the burden of manual planning and configuration.
