With compatibility for 2.5" U.2 NVMe drives, the 2U Infortrend EonStor GS 3024U storage is a 24-bay chassis that features dual controllers each outfitted with Intel Xeon D processors with up to 4x cores and 16GB to 128GB of DDR4 memory. This hybrid flash platform delivers high performance in both file and block environments, while keeping costs down and offering SSD optimization techniques and data protections to safeguard data. Another one of the performance features on this system is GPUDirect, which bypasses the CPU and system memory to directly address the host system GPU for maximum efficiency and low latency.

The EonStor GS 3024U storage can handle up to 896 drives with up to 15x mixed expansion enclosures or 3584 drives with scale-out with other Series of appliances per cluster. Dual redundant 530W 80 PLUS power supplies are mounted on the rear. Each controller has 2x optional host board slots for expansion, a mini-USB connector, and an Ethernet management port. For increased productivity, users can increase storage and service efficiency using EonOne, Infortrend’s web-based administration software package. The intuitive interface allows IT administrators to manage several appliances or a cluster, monitor capacity utilization and performance, and complete system configurations from a single, central interface.

A variety of operating systems are available, including MacOS X, VMware, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and SUSE Linux. A number of Cloud Services are also supported. The GS 3024U also offers near-zero RTO (recovery time objective) and zero RPO (recovery point objective) HA (high-availability) services for continuous availability. This solution ensures that complete and identical copies of the data are stored and prevents service disruptions caused by unplanned or planned events. Auto-failback, a feature of block-level HA services, allows a storage device to resume operations without requiring a human switch.
