Equipped with high performance, dual redundant controllers, the EonStor GS 3024UT supports PCIe 4.0 and 100GbE remote direct memory access (RDMA), offering up to 950K IOPS and 24/10 GB/s in throughput for applications that demand high performance. Complete data protection is offered to safeguard digital assets. Scaling up to 4x GS units allows for a linear increase in performance and capacity. Scale-up expansion connects each GS unit to a JBOD expansion system, allowing for the installation of up to 896 drives while minimizing the hardware footprint. Increased Infortrend series appliances utilized per cluster for scale-out, allows a maximum of 3584 drives to be connected. The system uses a super capacitor and flash module for its cache backup technology in case of a power outage.
To accommodate varying port connectors and link speeds, each controller has two expansion slots for optional host boards. Included on each controller is an Ethernet management port, a mini-USB connector, and 2x onboard SAS extension connectors located on the rear of the EonStor GS 3024UT. Windows Server, OpenStack Cinder, Citrix XenServer, and macOS X are a few of the supported operating systems. On the other hand, Infortrend's EonOne software suite also supports independent administration. In addition to helping monitor system health and configure storage assets, emails or the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) can be used to send notifications when necessary. Power for the system comes from 2x redundant 530W 80 PLUS Bronze rated power supply units.
