Controllers supported on the Infortrend EonStor GS 3025 Gen2 feature an intel Xeon D processor with 4x cores and a default memory compliment of 8GB DDR4 cache memory that can be boosted to 256GB. With dual controllers, those numbers are doubled to 16GB of cache memory by default, which can be boosted to 512GB between the 2x controllers. The platform delivers 25x 2.5” storage bays but storage capacity can be easily expanded. Connected to Just a Bunch of Disks (JBOD) expansion enclosures, each GS unit can scale-up to accommodate up to 896 drives, maximum. When connected with up to 4x other Series appliances, the system can scale-out to support up to 3584 drives, per cluster.

Optional Configurations

Infortrend GS 3025 Gen2 rear close upEach controller delivers 2x SAS expansion slots for daisy-chaining JBOD expansion enclosures, 4x host port connectors and a single RJ45 management port. Up to 2x additional optional host boards can be installed in each controller to linearly increase storage capacity. For managing the system, Infortrend provides EonOne, an intuitive web-based utility to help monitor, manage and allocate resources. Using Infortrends RAID technology, users can ensure data protection in the event of a power failure. Snapshot enables scheduled, automated backups of local resources and includes a rollback feature to the previous version if needed.  EonStor GS can also be used as a backup platform for all of your data and can operate automatically on a schedule for the least impact on users and network assets.
