Infortrend EonStor GS 3040 Gen3 Storage

The Infortrend EonStor GS 3040 Gen3 Storage appliance features 1x or 2x, redundant controllers. It is designed for SAN and NAS environments. Configuration options include the GS 3040ST3 with a single controller and the GS 3040ST3C also with a single controller but a U.2 SSD Cache. There are also the GS 3040RT3 with dual, redundant controllers and the GS 3040RT3C with dual, redundant controllers and the addition of a U.2 SSD cache. A single Intel Xeon D 4-core processor is available on each controller, which offers a default memory capacity of 12GB of DDR4 memory that can be increased to 192GB.

Housing 40x 3.5-inch drive bays accessible from the top of the chassis, the Infortrend GS 3040 Gen3 Storage appliance supports both 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch SAS and SATA drives. The ST3C and RT3C configurations also support U.2 NVMe SSDs. Using expansion enclosures, up to 896x drives are supported. 3584x drives can be supported per cluster via scale-out. A single Intel Xeon D processor with up to 4x physical cores provides compute for each controller. Memory capacity ranges between the default of 12GB of DDR4 memory and 192GB of DDR4 memory. On the rear of each controller, there are dual SAS expansion ports as well as a dedicated LAN management port. 2x host board slots are also available for optional NICs. These slots are compatible with SFP+, RJ-45 ports, Fiber Channel (FC), and SAS options, granting access to varying speeds and port configurations based on your needs. Four different platforms are available on this storage device.

A single controller configured system can be easily upgraded to house a second, redundant controller. SAS, SATA, and U.2 NVMe drives are supported. Daisy-chaining this system with other JBOD enclosures offer up to 896x drive bays. A full range of RAID options grant data security and redundancy in the case of a failure. System management is achieved via the Infortrend EonOne web-based management software which grants access to various management tools. Dual 1200W 80 PLUS Platinum power supplies power this system.
