To ensure high availability, the system includes dual-redundant controllers and a dual 1300W 80 PLUS Titanium-rated power supplies. Each controller has 2x host board slots for host boards allowing for additional host server and expansion enclosure connections. Expansion enclosures are connected via a 12Gb/s SAS interface with 2x per controller. Host servers can be connected using host boards offering a number of connection options including, fiber channel, SFP+, SFP28 and QSFP56 for 10GbE to 200GbE with options for remote direct memory access (RDMA). At the core of each controller is an Intel Xeon D 4-core processor with up to 8 threads, and 48GB up to 384GB of DDR4 memory. Each controller also includes an SSD cache pool of up to 4TB. This machine provides storage density featuring 48x front-accessible 2.5" U.2 NVMe SSD bays within a 4U chassis.

Equipped with EonOne, Infortrend’s intuitive web-based management suite, the GS 3048UT enables centralized control over clusters, multiple appliances, system performance, and configuration settings. Its broad OS support, including Windows Server, OpenStack Cinder, macOS X, and Sun Solaris, makes it a versatile fit for a wide range of IT environments.
