Another one of the performance features on this system is GPUDirect, which bypasses the CPU and system memory to directly address the host system GPU for maximum efficiency and low latency. This unit is available with a single controller or dual controllers for redundancy. An individual controller has a single Intel Xeon D processor with 6 cores, and a default cache memory of 8GB DDR4 memory that can be upgraded to up to 192GB. Each controller offers 4x SAS expansion ports, an ethernet management port, and 2x Host Board expansion slots for optional network connection boards. Optional Host Boards support Fiber Channel (FC), SFP+, RJ45 ports, and SAS options with varying connection speeds depending on your needs. For performance applications, the controllers can be outfitted with 100GbE to deliver maximum throughput of 100Gb/s. The configuration with a single controller can be updated very easily to support dual controllers. This platform can also be daisy-chained together with other JBOD expansion enclosures to arrive at that maximum drive number of 896 drives. With support for SAS, SATA, and U.2 NVMe storage devices, there are a full range of RAID options to choose from. And can be configured using Infortrend’s EonOne web-based management software tool. EonOne provides the means to monitor and manage multiple appliances, capacity usage, and complete system configurations. Dual Power Supply Units (PSU) on this appliance provide 800W of power with an 80PLUS Titanium rating.
