The Infortrend GS 4025 Gen2 is part of the GS 4000B Gen2 family of storage appliances and supports either a single controller or dual redundant controllers. A single Intel Xeon D 8-core processor installed each controller. By default, the system provides 8GB of cache memory, which can be expanded to 256GB of DDR4 cache memory when configured with a single controller. In a dual-controller setup, cache memory expands from a default of 16GB with the option to add up to 512GB. With dual controllers, it features up to 4x optional host board slots, accessible from the rear of the chassis. The dual-controller configuration ensures continuous operation if one controller fails, leaving the other to automatically take over within seconds to prevent system downtime. The appliance can achieve throughput speeds of up to 11GB/s for read operations and 8GB/s for write operations.

The Infortrend GS 4025 Gen2 is powered by EonOne, Infortrend’s web-based management suite, allowing users to monitor clusters, manage multiple appliances, track system performance, and configure settings. The 25-bay system supports a wide array of operating systems including Windows Server, OpenStack Cinder, macOS X, and Sun Solaris, making it ideal for diverse IT environments. For enhanced reliability and continuous uptime, the GS 4025B Gen2 comes equipped with dual redundant 530W 80 PLUS Bronze-certified power supplies.
