It’s important to note that the performance models support U.2 SSDs with an additional 4x drive bays grouped together near the back of the system, for a total of 94x drive trays. The cloud-integrated unified EonStor GS 4090 Gen3 storage supports NAS, SAN, object protocol, and cloud gateway. This storage can take on complex data by scaling up with JBOD expansion system for up to 896 drives. If they are scaled out with other series appliances, per cluster, a maximum of 3584 drives can be accommodated. A single controller features 2x host board slots for optional I/O, plus 2x 12Gb/s SAS ports, 1x Ethernet management port, a single mini-USB connector, and 1x super capacitor with flash module in case of a power outage. If an element fails, emails or the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) can be used to send notifications.
Infortrend’s EonOne software suite can manage the system, and operating systems like Windows Server, OpenStack Cinder, Citrix XenServer, and macOS X are also supported. The system is powered by two redundant 1600W 80 PLUS Titanium power supply units.
