The single controller on the Infortrend EonStor GSe 1012 Gen2 that has a SAS expansion port for attaching additional GSe units, 4x RJ45 host ports and a single Ethernet management port. It can be outfitted with a single host board, which would add more host and expansion ports of various connection speeds and form factors. Host board connection options include Fiber Channel, RJ45, SFP+ and 2x more 12Gb/s SAS ports for connecting expansion enclosures. With additional expansion enclosures, the system can scale-up to 448 drives. Via scale-out by connecting other Infortrend-series appliances, it can provide up to 3,136 drives per cluster.
