Outfitted with 16x storage bays and the ability to scale up to 896 drives, the Infortrend EonStor GSe 3016 Gen3 storage appliance is designed to meet the needs of small to medium-sized businesses. It offers a single controller to manage the system and the additional expansion enclosures to expand capacity. Drive-types supported includes SAS SSDS, NL-SAS, SAS HDDs, SATA SSDs, SATA HDDs, and U.2 NVMe SSDs.

The Infortrend EonStor GSe 3016 Gen3 Storage Appliance supports hybrid storage with SSD cache and automated storage tiering. Offering the ability to integrate NAS and SAN into a unified storage solution, this system can support file-level protocols including CIFS, NFS, AFP, and FTP, as well as block-level protocols, such as Fiber Channel iSCSI, and SAS. With support for Hybrid storage and auto-tiering, the Infortrend GSe 3016 Gen3 can support a performance storage layer with high-performance I/O and SSDs for frequently accessed information, and large capacity HDDs for massive data archives that may be less frequently accessed.

The storage controller has a single Intel Xeon D processor with 4-cores and supports a default cache memory allocation of 8GB of DDR4 memory. Cache memory can be upgraded to up to 192GB. Using additional Infortrend series appliances, this storage appliance can support up to 3,584 drives through scale-out, per cluster. Infortrend offers EonOne for an intuitive online management application to help configure, manage, and allocate resources.
