Supporting a single controller, the Infortrend EonStor GSe 3024 Gen3 Storage can scale-up to 896 drives with up to 15x mixed expansion enclosures. The controller features a single intel Xeon D processor with 4 cores and a default cache memory of up to 8GB of DDR4 memory, which can be expanded to up to 192GB. Supported drive types supported on this chassis include SAS and SATA with expansion enclosures added via 2x onboard 12Gb/s SAS ports. Additional ports for expansion enclosures and host systems can be added via 2x host board slots. Host boards offer several different ports and connectivity options including fiber channel, SFP+, SFP28, and QSFP56 at up to 100GbE per port. Options supporting 25GbE and 100GbE are also compatible with remote direct memory access (RDMA).

It also offers complete system configurations and storage auto-tiering for storage efficiency.
