The controller on the Infortrend EonStor GSe 3060 Gen3 has a 4-core Intel Xeon D processor and a default cache memory of 8GB that can be increased to up to 192GB. It also has a 4TB SSD cache pool. Supported drive types include SAS, NL-SAS, plus SATA SSDs and U.2 NVMe SSDs for cache. Onboard, there are two SAS expansion slots for connecting additional expansion enclosures. The controller also has 2x host board slots that can be outfitted with a number of different host boards offering different port and connection speed options. Those host board options include those for RDMA or Remote Direct Memory Access.

If used for file level storage the system delivers Inline compression, and offline deduplication The system supports several private and public cloud services including Amazon S3 and Microsoft Azure. For managing the system, Infortrend delivers EonOne. EonOne is their web-based management software tool. From a centralized location, Administrators can monitor multiple appliances, a cluster, and monitor performance and capacity usage. This system can also be used as a backup appliance to back up data from PCs, file servers, and public cloud.
