Designed to easily integrate and expand local SAN and NAS storage architecture into cloud services, the Infortrend EonStor GSe 4016 Gen3 storage appliance has a single controller outfitted with an Intel Xeon D 6-core processor. It supports 8GB of cache memory by default that can be expanded to up to 192GB. Additionally, the controller can be configured with a single optional supercapacitor with flash module. Powering the system are dual redundant 530W 80 PLUS Bronze PSUs.

The system supports Infortrend’s EonOne management software utility for complete system configurations, monitoring performance and capacity usage, plus providing an intuitive user interface to manage clusters and multiple appliances. The system also offers complete data protection and backup to reduce the risk of data loss from unexpected disk failures, power outages, and natural disasters. With scale-up expansion the system can be connected to several expansion enclosures for up to 896 drives. Through scale-out expansion, by connecting other Infortrend series appliances, per cluster, up to 3584 drives are supported.
