Outfitted with a single controller, the Infortrend EonStor GSe 4060 G3 Storage Appliance can scale-up to support up to 896 drives by adding additional Infortrend expansion enclosures. Expansion enclosures include 12-, 24-, 40-, 60-, and 90-bay options to increase capacity. The system can also scale-out to support up to 3584 drives via other Infortrend series appliances, per cluster, with a maximum of 4x GSe units with controller. The controller has an Intel Xeon D processor with 6x cores and a default memory configuration with 16GB of DDR4 memory modules. The controller can be upgraded to support up to 192GB of memory and an optional Cache Backup Module (CBM) with super capacitor with flash module for cache backup. The system also has a 4TB SSD cache pool.

The system is managed using Infortrend’s EonOne software utility. EonOne enables Administrators to monitor performance and capacity usage, plus complete system configurations of multiple appliances and clusters. Along with a number of RAID options for applications and data protection the system offers essential backup functions including, snapshot, volume copy, volume mirror, sync, and Integrated Data Repository (IDR).
