Designed for GPU-intensive, private cloud applications, the Infortrend KSi 5008U Cloud Node integrates compute, storage and Kubernetes management into a unified solution. With both processors installed, the system can provide from 128GB to 2TB of DDR5 memory. Up to 20 KS 5000U units can be combined in a cluster. It is recommended to start out with 3x nodes but a single system can be purchased and scaled up with the addition of more nodes as business needs demand. The KSi 5008U features 8x U.2 NVMe bays, while the other KS family nodes have 16x and 24x NVMe drive bays, respectively. All models in the KS 5000U family are 2U.

With support for up to 4x GPUs, this system is ideal for AI, Deep Learning, high-performance computing, and other applications that require extensive parallel computing power. To take advantage of the NVMe SSDs, this platform features a few network communications options including support for 10GbE, 25GbE, and 100GbE network interfaces.

The system is managed using two software utilities, EonOne and EonKube. EonOne provides comprehensive hardware management, while EonKube manages the deployed software applications and updates. A built-in Application Marketplace offers a selection of applications for a number of industries and domains. This includes commonly used enterprise application, database systems, big data analytics platforms and a number of other domain specific applications. An installation wizard helps with ease of deployment and starting with a base configuration, can be up and running in about 30 minutes.
