There are 3x different versions. The KS 5008U is a GPU-intensive model that can support up to 4x double-wide GPUs and has 8x NVMe U.2 storage bays up front. It excels at AI training, and 3D rendering with the ability to efficiently share GPU resources to maximize GPU performance. The Infortrend KS 5016U is for general-purpose applications and can be outfitted with up to 2x high-performance GPUs for use with high-performance computing (HPC), deep learning applications and handling large data sets and real-time responses. Lastly, the KS 5024U is a storage-intensive appliance with 24x NVMe drive bays that can scale-out to up to 480 NVMe SSDs, per cluster.

While it is recommended to start with a 3-node cluster, Administrators can start with just one appliance and scale in a non-disruptive manner by adding additional nodes as needed. The system is also compatible with other storage expansion options including EonStor GS unified storage, EonStor CS scale-out NAS, or EonStor GSx parallel file storage. Multi-node data replication (Replica x2 or x3) for tailored redundancy ensuring optimal data protection. However, the system can also be used without replication for the ability to allocate resources more effectively. Scheduling, and incremental backups of containers and VMs also allow for seamless operation and high availability.

The system can be managed through EonOne and EonKube. EonOne provides hardware monitoring for consistent system operation and performance. The simplified, intuitive graphical user interface allows Administrators to easily scale out system resources for computing nodes and external storage nodes. EonKube manages with containerized applications and virtual machines on a single platform. It allows for the easy deployment of other applications with a built-in Application Market for access to applications across a number of fields to deliver applications for diverse business needs.
