The DW612S enclosure accommodates up to 12 SD650 V3 compute nodes, each with liquid-cooled CPUs to reduce temperatures. Four of the highest core-count 4th Gen Intel CPUs are arranged in a 1U rack space on a single tray for high-density applications. The DW6125 Direct Water Cooling (DWC) enclosure and ThinkSystem SD650 V3 Neptune DWC server support water intake up to 45°C and can remove up to 95% of internal heat at lower temperatures. The DIMMs have direct water cooling with insulated slots. One liquid cooled M.2 NVMe SSD is also available for both operating system boot and storage functions. Compared to non-optimized air-cooled systems that demand constant fan usage, users can save up to 40% on energy expenses. In addition to the cooling system, the server supports up to 2x PCIe Gen5 x16 low-profile adapter slots (2x supported without internal storage) per node for NDR InfiniBand. Shared I/O and SocketDirect are also supported. To quickly remove the nodes from the machine without disturbing other nodes in the system, there is a dripless water input and outlet on the rear of the chassis.
