With 8-channel memory architecture provided by each of the CPUs, the ThinkSystem SR650 V4 supports a maximum of 8TB of memory when all 32x slots are outfitted with 256GB memory modules. TruDDR5 3DS/RDIMMs can operate at speeds up to 6400MHz with TruDDR5 MRDIMMs providing speeds up to 8000MHz. To tackle graphic intensive workloads, the system can support up to 10x single-width GPUs or 2x double-width GPUs using 10x PCIe Gen5 slots. For additional network connectivity or to support storage devices, the system has 2x OCP 3.0 mezzanine card slots.
The 2U chassis features a variety of cooling options including Lenovo’s Compute Complex Neptune Core module which uses open-loop liquid cooling to remove heat from processors, memory, and voltage regulators. The Neptune Core is capable of removing over 80% of system heat via liquid cooling, enabling up to 35.9% power savings at the data center level. To power the system, there are 2x redundant hot-swap power supplies with a choice of 800W, 1300W, 2000W, 2700W, or 3200W which are available in both Titanium and Platinum efficiency levels. The Lenovo SR650 V4 offers extensive storage flexibility, supporting a wide range of drive bay configurations to meet diverse workload requirements.
