There are a total of 64x DDR5 DIMM slots on this system, which fully configured have a maximum memory capacity of 16TB. On the front of the system, there are 48x 2.5-inch drive bays supporting SAS, SATA or NVMe. To expand the capabilities of the Lenovo SR860 V3 Server there are 16x PCIe expansion slots available on the rear of the system with support for 4x double-width GPUs or 8x single-width GPUs.

The Lenovo ThinkSystem SR860 V3 Server is designed for high-performance graphical applications with support for 8x single-width GPUs. It is housed in 4U rackmountable chassis and supports 2x to 4x 4th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable CPUs. Along with the 48 drive bays up front, there are two 7mm hot swap bays that can be configured with RAID using virtual RAID on CPU (VROC). The system will also support an optional M.2 RAID adapter that can also be used to boot the system and can also be com-posed in a RAID using VROC. With 18 PCIe slots and 2x OCP 3.0 card slots there are plenty of opportunities to expand the capabilities of the system. This system is powered by 4x Platinum or Titanium level PSUs in a redundant configuration.
