NVIDIA Quadro K5200 GPU - System Overview

Description

NVIDIA Quadro K5200 GPU Display Ports

Powered by Kepler architecture, the NVIDIA Quadro K5200 graphics card boasts 8GB of memory, double that of its predecessor, the Nvidia Quadro K5000. The workstation GPU also has a vast number of CUDA cores compared to its predecessor with additional, larger exhaust vents for better cooling.

Performance

Offering better performance than the previous generation, the Kepler architecture graphics card is packed with 2304 CUDA cores on a 28nm manufacturing process with about 7,080 million transistors. The Quadro K5200 has a 6-pin power connector with a 150W maximum power draw for the 192 texture mapping units, 48 ROPs, and 3.5 TFLOPS. The dual-slot card also operates at a frequency of 667 MHz, which can be boosted to 771 MHz, with memory running at up to 1502 MHz.

Memory

Using the same chip as the high-end K6000, the Nvidia K5200 GPU delivers 2304 CUDA parallel processing cores plus 8GB of GDDR5 memory, double that of its predecessor. Just like its predecessor, the Quadro K5200 uses ECC memory and offers extra protection and reliability when creating. The 8GB of GDDR5 memory is connected to a 256-bit interface delivering 192GB/s bandwidth.

Features

NVIDIA Quadro K5200 Power Connection

The NVIDIA Quadro K5200 GPU has a series of large air exhaust vents at the edge of the card. Under the hood, the K5200 is equipped with a significantly larger heatsink to help dissipate heat buildup from the extra CUDA cores and memory. The card supports a DVI-I DL, DVI-I SL, and two DisplayPort connectors, allowing a total of 4 displays to be connected simultaneously. With the use of Quadro Mosaic display technology, users can put together an entire wall of 16 displays to create visual projects.

Summary

Crafted and assembled for professional workstations, the NVIDIA Quadro K5200 graphics card used to be the world’s most powerful graphics card. It supports Kepler architecture and up to 2304 CUDA cores and 8GB of GDDR5 memory. Plus, the display engine that drives up to four displays natively can support up to 16 displays total to help users power through the most complex designs, simulations, and visual storytelling.
