NVIDIA Quadro RTX 6000 GPU - System Overview

Description

NVIDIA RTX 6000 GPU ports

The Quadro RTX 6000 graphics card supports up to 24GB of GDDR6 memory, but can be scaled to 48GB when using NVLink with an additional Quadro RTX 6000 GPU card. Users are able to take advantage of ray tracing, deep learning, and advanced shading when working on complex projects.

Memory

The dual-slot card pairs ultra-fast 24GB GDDR6 memory with a 384-bit memory interface. If more speed is needed, users can pair two cards with a Quadro RTX NVLink HB Bridge to scale the memory capacity to 48GB and increase the bandwidth up to 100GB per second. The GPU, can be boosted up to 1770MHz, from a base clock of 1440MHz. Memory runs at 1750 MHz, or 14 Gbps effectively. For maximum security, integrated error correcting code (ECC) can help to protect against undetected memory data corruption, and reduce the amount of crashes in multi-server applications.

Performance

NVIDIA RTX 6000 GPU power connectors

The combination of the Turing architecture and the extreme specifications make the NVIDIA Quadro RTX 6000 GPU a great choice to tackle professional workloads. This graphics card is outfitted with 4,608 CUDA cores, 576 Tensor cores for AI, and 72 RT cores for ray tracing workloads. Content creation in the film industry, scientific visualization, and automotive and architectural design are rapidly visualized using the powerful cores under the hood. There are also 18.6 billion transistors on the 12nm manufacturing process delivering 32.62 TFLOPS of FP16 (half) performance, 16.31 TFLOPS of FP32 (float) performance, and 509.8 GFLOPS of FP64 (double) performance.

Features

The NVIDIA RTX 6000 leverages the latest advancements in AI, virtual reality, and photorealistic rendering to produce innovative products, tell dynamic stories, and design modern architecture. The GPU offers easy connectivity to the next generation of high-resolution VR head-mounted displays with the implementation of a VirtualLink port to let designers view their work in the most powerful virtual environments. Aside from a USB Type-C port for VirtualLink, the GPU also supports 4x DisplayPort 1.4 outputs and a pair of 8-pin PCIe power connectors providing 260 watts of power.

Summary

With 24GB of fast GDDR6 memory, the NVIDIA Quadro RTX 6000 is capable of handling complex designs, large architectural datasets, 8K cinematic content, and more. Equipped with the NVIDIA Turing architecture, the GPU supports 4608 CUDA cores and 72 ray tracing cores. The card is also compatible with NVLink which allows users to scale up to two RTX 6000 cards for a total of 48GB GDDR6 memory.
