Seagate Exos AP 5U84 Storage Server

At 5U the Seagate Exos AP 5U84 Storage Server can host up to 84x 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch drives for up to 1.344 petabytes of storage. The system can be outfitted with 1x or 2x AP-BV-1 controllers, with 2x controllers installed for redundancy. Each controller supports a single AMD EPYC CPU with 8, 12, or 16 cores along with up to 256GB of DDR4 memory supporting memory speeds of up to 3200MHz. With dual controllers, the system can be split into two nodes for multi-node architecture in a single chassis.

The Seagate Exos AP 5U84 Storage Server at up to 1.344 PB of data leads the industry in both density and cost-for-performance. It can be outfitted with EBOD expansion controllers or hardware-based RAID controllers offering more data protection for high-capacity or transaction-dependent environments. With integrated compute and massive storage capacity, this system is an excellent choice for larger data center applications. Adding to the reliability, is compatibility with Seagate Secure SSDs and hard drives. offering modular and interchangeable components, this system can be easily upgraded to support new technologies. Each of the controllers has a single low-profile, half-length PCIe 4.0 x16 host interface and a PCIe 4.0 x8 OCP host interface card slot. Power is provided by dual 2200W PSUs.
