With two controllers, the Seagate Exos E 2U12 storage enclosure offers a SAS3 drive interface with a throughput of up to 28.8GB/s, or 14.4GB/s with just one controller. Using the 12x front 3.5-inch drive bays, the system can store up to 216TB using 18TB 3.5-inch SAS drives. Up to 12x extended bunch of disks (EBOD) chassis can be combined for up to 144 SSDs and hard drives.

The Exos E 2U12 offers up to three x4 12Gb/s mini-SAS HD connectors per I/O module. This system features EBOD capabilities, allowing administrators to simply increase the amount of storage when necessary. This modular system offers excellent expansion at an affordable price and is suitable for applications involving backup and recovery, video surveillance, high-performance computing, and big data. The management interface supports 2x 1GbE ports on the rear of the chassis where you can also find the dual redundant 580W 80 PLUS Gold or Platinum PSUs to power the system.
