Seagate Exos X 5U84 Advanced Storage Array

Featuring Seagate’s self-healing technology, the rack-mounted block storage Seagate Exos X 5U84 Storage Array can deliver petabytes of secure storage for demanding streaming environments that require high-speed read and write throughput. It can store up to 1.1 Petabytes in a single 5U enclosure offering 7GB/s sequential read and 5.5GB/s sequential write. Each enclosure can be outfitted with up to 84 HDDs or SSDs. Up to 4 enclosures can be linked together for up to 336 drives maximum.

Seagate Exos X 5U84 Advanced Storage Array - System Overview

Using Seagate’s Advanced Distribution Autonomic Protection Technology (ADAPT) and Autonomous Drive Regeneration (ADR), the Seagate Exos X 5U84 delivers self-healing capabilities. The platform features auto-tiering for hot and cold data storage, plus snapshots, replication, and new to Seagate ASIC-based VelowCT controller architecture offering both performance and reliability. The system has 4 host ports per controller or 8x per system with redundancy offering SFP+/SFP28 or mini-SAS HD. Interface options include Fiber Channel, iSCSI, and SAS models, plus 10G Base-T Auto depending on your business needs. A full range of RAID options are supported including NRAID (JBOD). To manage the system, there is the Seagate Systems Storage Management Console offering remote diagnostics, nondisruptive updates and Volume Expansion. Seagate Exos X 5U84 rear of system
