Similar to NVIDIA’s Grace Superchips, the AMD Instinct MI300A APUs have an integrated GPU combining 24 AMD Zen 4 CPU cores and 228 AMD CDNA 3 GPU compute units on a single package. Each APU has 128GB of unified memory shared between the CPU and GPU for up to 512GB of HBM3 unified memory with all 4x APUs installed. The system utilizes AMD’s Infinity Fabric Interconnect link for GPU-GPU communications. With these attributes, the Supermicro GPU A+ Server 2145GH-TNMR-LCC is designed for Artificial Intelligence (AI), use as a Cloud Solutions Provider (CSP), Large Language Models, and for use in research labs.
The 2145GH-TNMR-LCC has 8x 2.5-inch NVMe drive bays. As an option it can be configured to support SAS3 or SATA 3 drive bays via a storage add-on card. There are also 2x internal NVMe, SATA M.2 slots that can be used to support the OS. Powering the system are 4x 2700W redundant Titanium level power supply units (PSU).
A dedicated GbE RJ45 management LAN port in the back of the chassis provides remote management of the system. Supermicro provides a number of management utilities including SuperCloud Composer (SCC), Supermicro Server Manager (SSM), plus an Update Manager, and Automation Assistant to name a few.
