The Supermicro BigTwin SuperServer 221BT-DNC8R is a 2x hot-plugabble node system with each node supporting dual 4th or 5th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors and Intel Xeon CPU Max Series with high bandwidth memory (HBM). There are 16x DDR5 DIMM slots available on each node which can provide up to 4TB of memory each, for up to 8TB of memory system wide. Nodes are assigned 12x of the 24x 2.5-inch hot-swap NVMe/SAS drive bays with 2x NVMe and 10x SAS. The Supermicro 221BT-DNC8R server nodes each support 1x PCIe 5.0 x8 low-profile slots and 1x PCIe 5.0 x16 low-profile slots. A tri-mode SAS controller is pre-installed for SAS deployments.

Designed for All-Flash Storage Area Network, All-Flash Hyperconverged Infrastructure, All-Flash Object Storage applications, and Storage Area Network tasks, the Supermicro BigTwin 221BT-DNC8R is a dual node system. Each node also supports an PCIe x8 NVMe boot controller featuring 2x M.2 drives, and an Advanced I/O Module (AIOM) or OCP 3.0 mezzanine card in a dedicated slot for network connectivity. It is powered by dual 2200W Titanium power supplies in a redundant configuration.
NOTE: This platform is only sold as a complete system with at least 2 CPU, 2 DIMMs, 1 NIC adapter, & 1 storage device (HDD/SSD/NVMe/M.2) drive per node.
