Each of the quad hot-pluggable compute nodes, the Supermicro BigTwin SuperServer 221BT-HNC8R supports 2x 4th or 5th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors and Intel Xeon CPU Max Series with high bandwidth memory (HBM) and up to 4TB of DDR5 memory across 16x DIMM slots. Each node is connected to 6x of the 24x 2.5-inch hot-swap NVMe/SAS drive bays. On the rear of the nodes of the Supermicro 221BT-HNC8R server, there are 2x PCIe 5.0 x16 low-profile expansion slots and a PCIe 4.0 x8 slot for 2x M.2 NVM boot drive controllers.
