Supermicro BigTwin SuperServer 222BT-DNR - System Overview
The all-flash BigTwin SuperServer 222BT-DNR has 2x M.2 PCIe 5.0 NVMe slots, per node, with a default 22110 form factor card. The board mounted M.2 drives will require a VROC key for RAID. Optionally, each node can also be outfitted with 2x more NVMe M.2 drives, for 4x total, via a SCC-A2NM2241GH-B1 offering built-in RAID. Expansion options are provided by 2x PCIe 5.0 x8 low-profile slots, 1x PCIe 5.0 x16 low-profile slot, and 1x PCIe 5.0 x16 AIOM slot that can be accessed through the rear of the server. Under the hood of each node, there are 16x memory module slots, with 8x per CPU, for a maximum of 4TB of DDR5 RDIMM memory running at 6400MT/s.
The Supermicro 222BT-DNR is powered by 2x 2200W redundant (1+1) Titanium Level (96%) power supplies and has the capacity to be managed by several software utilities. Programs such as SuperCloud Composer, Supermicro Think-Agent Service (TAS), Supermicro Server Manager (SSM), Super Diagnostics Offline (SDO), and SuperServer Automation Assistant (SAA) are available for administrators to manage the system’s assets both at-chassis or remotely. Ideally, the server is suitable for high-performance file systems, diskless HPC clusters, big data analytics and AI, and more.
