A total of 24x 2.5-inch NVMe/SAS drive bays on the front panel, are assigned equally between the 4x nodes with each assigned 6x bays. Per node, that includes two hot-swap 2.5" PCIe 5.0 NVMe/SAS drive bays and 4x hot-swap 2.5" PCIe 4.0 NVMe/SAS drive bays. The Broadcom 3908 controller in IR mode with support for RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 enables SAS 12Gbps setups.

Each node has 1x OCP 3.0 compatible PCIe 5.0 x16 AIOM slot and 1x low-profile PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for flexible networking. The server board has dual M.2 PCIe 5.0 x4 NVMe slots that can boot the OS and handle 22110 form factor cards by default. However, a VROC is needed for RAID. In case of hardware malfunction, software such as Supermicro’s Think-Agent Service (TAS), Supermicro Server Manager (SSM), Super Diagnostics Offline (SDO), SuperCloud Composer, and SuperServer Automation Assistant (SAA) can deliver an overview of the assets.
