The Supermicro BigTwin SuperServer 621BT-HNC8R houses 4x compute nodes in its 2U chassis. There are 2x CPU sockets on each node compatible with 4th or 5th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors or Intel Xeon CPU Max Series with high bandwidth memory (HBM). Fully configured, each node supports a maximum memory capacity of up to 4TB of DDR5 memory across 16x DIMM slots. Each node also has 3x of the 12x 3.5-inch hot-swap NVMe/SAS drive bays in front. On the rear of the Supermicro 621BT-HNC8R server, each node features 2x PCIe 5.0 x16 low-profile slots for expansion purposes, plus two PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 slots on the system board.
