At its core, the Supermicro 1117C7-N features 1x AMD EPYC 9006 SP7 series processors with a maximum TDP supporting up to 600W. A total of 16x memory module slots are available for Registered DIMMs (RDIMMs), 3DS RDIMMs, and Multiplexed Rank DIMMs (MRDIMM). RDIMMs and 3DS RDIMMs support up to 4TB of memory with speeds of up to 8000MT/s, whereas MRDIMMs support speeds of up to 12800MT/s. On the front panel, the system holds up to 12x drive bays, plus 2x internal M.2 PCIe 4.0 x2 NVMe slots for 2280 or 22110 drives. The system can support a number of drive bay configurations.

In addition to a dedicated IPMI port and web-based IPMI interface, Supermicro offers a suite of management tools, including SuperCloud Composer, Supermicro Server Manager (SSM), Super Diagnostics Online (SDO), Supermicro Thin-Agent Service (TAS), SuperServer Automation Assistant (SAA), and plug-ins for third-party management platforms. For organizations with unique automation requirements, administrators can build custom deployment and management solutions using Redfish APIs to tailor infrastructure management to their specific needs. For expansion, this system provides 2x PCIe 6.0 x16 FHHL slots and 1x PCIe 6.0 x16 AIOM slot, which is OCP 3.0 compatible. Additionally, it also supports up to 2x CXL 3.1 x16 devices.
To maintain quality and integrity, this product is sold only as a completely-assembled system with minimum 1x CPU, 1x DIMM, 1x storage device HDD/HDS/M.2 and 1x NIC. NIC requirements can be either AIOM or PCIe card.
