Under the hood, the 2U platform delivers 2x Intel Xeon 6700 series processors with E-cores, offering up to 144 cores and 144 threads, and a maximum thermal design power (TDP) of 350W with air cooling. The Supermicro CloudDC SuperServer 222C-TN supports up to 3x internal CXL 2.0 x16/x8 Type 2/Type 3 devices. It also offers 3x long riser brackets to accommodate up to 3x double-width or 6x single-width GPUs.

24x hot-swap 2.5” NVMe/SATA/SAS bays on the front of the CloudDC SuperServer 222C-TN provide options for hot and cold storage. To boot the OS, there are 2x M.2 PCIe 5.0 x4 NVMe slots for 2280 or 22110 form factor cards. Surrounding the CPUs are 32x DIMM slots that can accommodate up to 2TB of DDR5 RDIMM memory, running at speeds of up to 6400MT/s when fully populated with 64GB memory modules. 2x 2000W redundant Titanium-level PSUs power the system.
Software such as Supermicro SuperDoctor 5 (SD5), Supermicro Server Manager (SSM), and SuperServer Automation Assistant (SAA) can monitor and manage the SuperServer 222C-TN either locally or remotely. Along with the 3x internal CXL 2.0 devices supported, there are 2x PCIe configurations:
