With a PCIE 5.0 CPU to GPU interconnect, the Supermicro GPU SuperServer 422GS-NBRT-LCC can support up to 8 HGX B200 180GB SXM GPUs connected via NVIDIA NVLink technology with NVSwitch. The system is designed to address a number of key applications including, Scientific research, business analytics, AI Deep Learning Training and Inference, plus LLMs, Conversational AI and more! Outfitted with Intel Xeon 6700 series processors with P-cores, the supported GPUs can also deliver up to 1.4TB of GPU memory with all 8x installed. Cooling the system are 6x 80mm fans, plus direct to Chip (D2C) liquid cooling cold plates are used for the CPU heatsinks. 4x 6600W 2+2 redundant Titanium-level power supply units provide power to the system.
In addition to the 8x front storage bays, the system also offers 2x M.2 NVMe hot-swap drive bays, also on the front of the system. The M.2 drives can be configured in a RAID using an S3808N controller and used to boot the operating system. There are 8x PCIe 5.0 x16 low-profile slots and 2x PCIe 5.0 x16 full-height, half-length slots to install other add-on-cards for networking and storage. Supermicro offers SuperCloud Composer and Supermicro Server Manager (SSM), and the Supermicro Automation Assistant (SAA) to help administrators monitor and manage the system at chassis and remotely.
