Memory speeds of up to 6400MT/s are supported using 9005-series CPUs. However, memory speeds will take a hit using 9004-series processors, which support a top memory speed of 4800MT/s. With support for up to 8x double-wide GPUs, the Supermicro GPU SuperServer 5126GS-TNRT can be used for AI, Deep Learning, 3D Rendering farms, high-performance computing, and multimedia/digital content, to name a few. 6x 2700W PSUs power the system offering 4+2 or 3+3 redundancy, depending on how the system is configured and the application load. Additionally, 2x more PSUs can be installed for a total of 8x PSUs.

Storage along the front includes only 6x storage bays with 2x 2.5-inch SATA bays and 4x 2.5-inch NVMe bays, all of which are hot-swap. There are 9x PCIe 5.0 x16 slots at the back of the chassis. However, those front 4x NVMe drive bays can be disabled, which will enable a 10th PCIe 5.0 x16 slot in back. A PCIe 3.0 x4 slot on the system board can be used for super-fast storage or can be used for the OS or a hypervisor. The dedicated IPMI port on the back of the system allows Administrators to manage the system remotely. For managing the system Supermicro offers several software utilities. Utilities include the Spermicro SuperCloud Composer, Supermicro Server Manager (SSM), Supermicro Update Manager (SUM), and more.
