Applications supported by the Supermicro GPU SuperServer 822GS-NBRT include scientific research, business intelligence and analytics, ai/deep learning training and inference, conversational AI, large language models and more. CPUs with up to 86 cores and 172 threads with a thermal design power range of up to 350W are supported. There are 6x 6600W Titanium level power supply units (PSUs) offering 3+3 redundancy.
The NVIDIA SXM HGX B200 features 180GB with 1000W TDP per GPU. This is an air-cooled system with 12x hot-swap fans. The front I/O panel features 2x 10G RJ45 ports and a dedicated IPMI port for managing the system. PCIe slots are split between the 2x processors. GPUs are connected to the CPUs via a PCIe 5.0 x16 PLX switch interconnect, with GPU-to-GPU communications via NVLink. 2x more PCIe 5.0. Add on cards include network interface controllers (NICs) with a 200Gb/port or 400Gb/port.
For managing the 822GS-NBRT GPU server, Supermicro offers several management options. SuperCloud Composer, Supermicro Server Manager (SSM), Super Diagnostics Offline (SDO), Supermicro Thin-Agent Service (TAS), and SuperServer Automation Assistant (SAA).
*This system comes with a minimum configuration of 2CPUs, 2TB of memory, 8-GPU board, 1x storage device, and 1x network card.
