For reliable and large dataset workloads, each server node offers up to 4TB of memory when all 16x DIMM slots are filled with DDR5 256GB RDIMMs. Memory speeds of up to 5600MT/s can be reached with 2x DIMMs per channel. For expansion, each node supports 2x PCIe 5.0 x16 AIOM slots that are OCP 3.0 compatible. Similarly, the motherboard supports 2x M.2 NVMe or SATA slots for more storage or to boot the operating system. This server has built-in SAS3 support via a Broadcom 3808 connection for IT Mode.
To manage the Supermicro 211GT-HNC8R, administrators can choose from Supermicro’s proprietary software tools such as the Supermicro Server Manager, SuperServer Automation Assistant, and Supermicro SuperDoctor 5 (SD5).
