The 4x nodes in the Supermicro GrandTwin SuperServer 212GT-HNF are designed for enterprise applications, scale-out object storage, cloud gaming, Telco edge cloud, edge AI inferencing, and more. Each single-socket node can be outfitted with Intel Xeon 6700 series processor with E-cores and P-cores or Intel Xeon 6500 with P-cores. When all 16x memory module slots are populated with 64GB DDR5 RDIMMs, up to 4TB of memory running at up to 6400MT/s is supported. The Intel Xeon 6 CPUs are limited to a maximum TDP of 350W when air cooled.
Supermicro GrandTwin SuperServer 212GT-HNF - System Overview
This machine can be managed by a variety of software applications, including Supermicro Server Manager (SSM), Super Diagnostics Offline (SDO), SuperCloud Composer, Supermicro Think-Agent Service (TAS), and SuperServer Automation Assistant (SAA). Dual 3000W Titanium Level (96%) power supplies provide the Supermicro GrandTwin SuperServer 212GT-HNF with redundant (1 + 1) power. Designed for cold aisle serviceability, the I/O slots and ports are on the front panel of every node. Each module requires a GrandTwin I/O module which includes 2x USB 3.0 ports, 1x VGA port, a dedicated BMC LAN port and 3x options for network connectivity LAN ports.
Each node can support up to 8x E1.S drives or up to 4x Hot-swap 2.5” NVMe drive bays. Alternatively, the nodes can accommodate 1x PCIe 5.0 x16 low-profile slot offering 4x E1.S drives, or 1x OCP 3.0 slot offering 2x NVMe U.2 drives for networking expansions. A VROC hardware key is required for RAID support, offering options of RAID 0/1/5/10. Under each hood, there are 2x M.2 PCIe 5.0 x4 NVMe slots that are compatible with 22110 and 2280 form factor cards. The front panel of each node can support up to 8x hot-swap E1.S PCIe 5.0 x4 NVM drive bays, but there are other storage options available for the 2U chassis.
