With support for up to 12TB of memory when using Intel Optane Persistent memory 200-series modules and standard DRAM in 32x DIMM slots, the Supermicro Hyper SuperServer 120H-TNR is designed for AI inference, cloud computing, and virtualization. This platform supports dual 3rd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors with up to 40 cores, 80 threads, and a maximum TDP of up to 270W. It features 8x 2.5” hot-swap NVMe, SATA, or SAS drive bays up front with the option to install 4x more drive bays for a total of 12x.
The 1U Supermicro 120H-TNR supports up to 1x double slot GPU or 3x single slot GPUs and is powered by dual 1200W Titanium level power supplies. For networking expansion options, there is 1x PCIe 4.0 x16 full-height, 6.6” slot, and 2x PCIe 4.0 x16 full-height, 10.5” slots. 2x internal slots are dedicated for M.2 NVMe or SATA3 2280 or 22110 cards. A VROC RAID key is required for NVMe support. Software such as Redfish API, SuperDoctor 5, and IPMI 2.0 can be used to manage the system both at-chassis or remotely.
