At only 16.9” in depth, the Supermicro IoT SuperServer 111E-FWTR is designed for edge applications where a dedicated server room is not an option. Storage is limited to 2x internal fixed 2.5” SATA drive bays and a single, optional, M.2 drive that can be placed in the PCIe 3.0 with a x2 link width on the motherboard. CPUS with a thermal design power threshold of 85W-350W are supported, which includes processors with up to 32 physical cores and 64 virtual threads. CPUs with a TDP above 205W are only supported under specific conditions. With 8-channel memory architecture, the CPU is in charge of 8x DDR5 memory module slots. Depending on the installed CPU, memory speeds of up to 5600MT/s are supported using Registered DIMMs.
There is a single low-profile PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and 2x full-height, full-length PCIe 5.0 slots. Keeping it all cool is a bank of 6x heavy-duty fans with tachometer monitoring for optimal speed control. Powering the system are dual 800W Platinum-level redundant PSUs
