Offering a short chassis depth of 16.9-inches, the Supermicro IoT SuperServer 112B-FWT is a compact 1U edge server intended for multi-access edge computing, satellite communication, DU of 5G application, and more. At the heart of the system, a single Intel Xeon 6 processor with a maximum TDP of up to 350W when air cooled can be deployed. To each side of the CPU, there are 4x DIMM slots, for a total of 8x DIMM slots that can be outfitted with a maximum capacity of up to 1TB of DDR5 RDIMMs.
Supermicro IoT SuperServer 112B-FWT - System Overview
Under the hood, the IoT SuperServer 112B-FWT offers 2x internal, fixed storage expansion bays for 2.5” NVMe/SATA drive bays. Similarly, the operating system can be stored on 2x M.2 NVMe drives using the PCIe 5.0 x2 slots on the system board. Although it has a small physical footprint, this machine can support 1x single-width GPU such as the NVIDIA PCIe A2 and NVIDIA PCIe L4 GPU cards.
For expansion options, the chassis provides 2x PCIe 5.0 x16 full-height, full-length slots and 1x PCIe 5.0 x16 low-profile slot. The platform is powered by 2x 860W redundant (1 + 1) Titanium Level (96%) hot-plug power supplies. Easily managed at chassis and remotely by Supermicro software utilities, applications include the Think-Agent Service (TAS), SuperCloud Composer, Super Diagnostics Offline (SDO), Supermicro Server Manager (SSM), and SuperServer Automation Assistant (SAA).
