Supported processors with P-Cores deliver up to 86 cores and 172 thread, while those with E-Cores support up to 144 cores and 144 threads. CPUs supported on this platform are limited to a maximum TDP of up to 350W when air cooled. Aside from the drive bays on the rear of the machine, the Supermicro 212B-FN2T provides 2x M.2 NVMe slots (M-key 2280/22110) that can be used for more storage or to boot the operating system. In total, there are 8x DIMM slots surrounding the CPU that can provide a maximum memory capacity of up to 2TB DDR5 RDIMMs running at 6400 MT/s. On the other hand, DDR5 MRDIMMs are also supported with capacities of up to 512GB. MRDIMMs also provide faster memory speeds at up to 8000 MT/s, but can only be installed with P-Core CPUs.
Offering a PCIe 5.0 x16 CPU-to-GPU Interconnect, up to 3x single-width GPUs or 2x double-width GPUs can be installed on this system. 1x 2000W Titanium level (96%) power supply is used to power the system with the option for 2x PSUs for redundancy. By default, the 212B-FN2T server supports 2x PCIe 5.0 x16 (in x16) FHFL slots but can be configured with two other options.

Several Supermicro software utilities, including the SuperServer Automation Assistant, SuperCloud Composer, and Supermicro Server Manager are available to help Administrators maintain the system. SuperServer Automation Assistant (SAA) runs in a command-line window, like a text-based control panel. It helps IT administrators easily set up, manage, and update systems; from a single machine to entire data centers, all in one place.
